This little shoe bench is exactly what I needed for my home. However, it's a mess - literally. Everything in the box was dirty, even the plastic bags and the instruction sheet. Bits of crumbled packing foam got everywhere. The instructions themselves were useless -- think of the worst IKEA instructions ever, with a few Chinese characters thrown in for good measure. My husband has put together a thousand desks, bookshelves, etc, and he said this was the worst thing he'd ever seen. He ended up ignoring the instructions altogether and put the bench together like a jigsaw puzzle. Hopefully the bench itself will work out okay. It's small (barely holds 4 pairs of women's shoes), but that's all I need.I am highly disappointed in the packaging of this item. The instructions were for a different item and all in Chinese. I had to use pictures from Amazon to guess how to put to together. Shelves were chipped and scratched up.It hold 4 pair of shoes and I use the top for socks love it
